The Melodifestivalen takes place over six Saturdays and consists of six live shows. The biggest Swedish TV event got under way again on February 5th. Melodifestivalen 2022 is the 62nd edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen which is organised by Sveriges Television SVT and is taking place over a six-week period between 5 February and 12 March 2022.

Last weeks Semi-Final saw a total of 301700 viewers watching live this equated to 76 of all TV viewers in the time slot with 301 of people in Sweden watching. Melodifestivalen starts off its 2022 season dominating the Swedish television ratings. The third heat took place in Stockholm with seven more artists vying to win Melodifestivalen 2022 and represent Sweden in Turin.
